“Please, tell me a story, daddy.”

“A fairy tale. Please?”

“Daddy, please, sing me a song.”

“I can’t sleep, daddy. One story! Oh dad, if you’d please. A story won’t surely take long, will it?”

“A nursery rhyme?”

“A little poem?”

“Daddy, I can’t sleep, please do!”

“It’s bedtime.”

“I’m lonely.”

“Oh dad, if you’d please, one story will surely do.”

“Tell me a riddle.”

“Tell me a joke.”

“Daddy, you tell them so well.”

“My belly is aching. Oh dad, if you’d please. You have always had so many stories to tell.”

“Daddy! Wake up! Tell me a tale.”

“Daddy! Why won’t you answer me?”

“It’s my turn to sleep now, daddy.”

“Oh dad, if you’d please. You have not said one word at all.”

“The fire is burning but your body is cold. I don’t feel at ease, daddy.”

“Here, I will put up the blanket to make you feel warm.”

“Open your eyes, if you’d please.”

“Daddy, open your eyes, if you’d please.”
